Feature & Follow Friday hosted by parajunkee.com and alisoncanread.com
The main idea behind FF is to discover new blogs, and follow the ones you like (and they’ll follow you back!) It’s a total win/win, so take a peek around and follow me!
RULES
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee &Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
- If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!
This Week’s Question:
Q: Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?
A: No, I have not purposely purchased a book because of a bad review. I have bought many books with not so good reviews but I base my books on the synopsis and subject matter. If I read a bad review on a book I try to see if we have similar taste. Maybe the things they didn't enjoy I would love.
Please follow and leave a link to your blog so I can share the love :)
That's a pretty fantastic idea :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week!

Great answer! Buying a book specifically because of bad reviews just doesn't really make sense to me, to be honest. But negative reviews don't necessarily deter me from reading a book - I just probably would borrow it first before buying.
ReplyDeleteNew follower here! Happy Friday :).

ReplyDeleteNew Follower hopping through! Yes, tastes differ. I often read positive reviews and don't agree at all with them, so I figure.. That can't be that different when it comes to negative reviews. *gg*

Hi,
ReplyDeleteNew follower. Nice to meet you. I wouldn't purposely buy a book just because it has bad reviews.
