Q: Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win?
A: Elyse from Opression by Jessica Therrien and Helen from Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini. I know the question says fight but I would like these two characters to meet. They both have god-like powers and are new to them. If they did fight I think Helen would end up winning because of her strength.

This Week’s Question:
Q: Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?
A: No, I have not purposely purchased a book because of a bad review. I have bought many books with not so good reviews but I base my books on the synopsis and subject matter. If I read a bad review on a book I try to see if we have similar taste. Maybe the things they didn't enjoy I would love.

Please follow and leave a link to your blog so I can share the love :)

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don’t like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

A: My biggest pet peeve is making books into a series when the story is not elaborate enough to deserve one. I am tired of being unable to read a book and finish a story. It appears that lately I have to wait a year for the next installment in the series of all most every book to see how it ends. There are many series that I really enjoy and wish they would never end. Then there are a those that I just simply do not understand why I need to wait three books to have the ending that was obvious in book one.

Q: Today’s Question is something new, an activity. We want to see what you look like! Take a pic with you and your current read! Too shy? Boo! Just post a fun pic you want to share.

A:  My husband must think I am very strange. I just ran up to him and said take a picture and ran away.

Here is my picture with my E-ARC of Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

Q:  If you could have dinner with your favorite book character, who would you eat with and what would you serve?

Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1)

A: I would have dinner with Evie from the Paranormalcy Series by Kiersten White. She would be tons of fun to have dinner with. Hmm... we would probably go eat somewhere very normal since she is amazed by normal everyday things.

Who would you have dinner with?

Q: What superhero is your alter-ego?

Sailor Merkur 01.jpg

A: My superhero alter-ego would be Sailor Mercury. She loves to read and even though she won't admit it, she loves romance novels. I know Sailor Moon has tuxedo mask but I have to admit I am more like Amy than  Serena.

Q.If you could have characters from a particular book meet and form an epic storyline with characters from a particular TV series, which would you choose and why?

I would love to see the vampires from True Blood meet the vampires from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. It would not be a story suitable for a young audience but it would make a great romance novel. Can you imagine having Eric Northman and Rhage in the same story. Oh my!

If you follow please let me know in your comment so that I can follow right back. :)

This week's featured blogs are Jagged Edge and A Neverending Fantasy

Q. If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

If I could swap places with a character I would choose:
Book: I would love to be Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments because the world of Shadowhunters seems like a fun one to live in. Of course having Jace as my boyfriend wouldn't be a bad deal.
Movie: I would be Buttercup from The Princess Bride.
TV Show: Since I just finished watching The Vampire Diaries, I would be Elena just so that I can make the show all boring and just choose Damon over Stephan and end the drama.

Q: It's that pesky magic book fairy again! She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality?

A: I would love for Cassandra Clare's worlds to be a reality. I would be happy with either The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices. I just love shadowhunters. :)

How about you? What book world would you like to make a reality?

Q. In books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet, for real?

It would be awesome if  the Fae came out of the closet. I would of course have to be one of them because it would be super not cool having all the wonderful creatures running around and I am just a lame human. Yeah, I would have to be one because they are not always depicted as the nicest and I would be scared of them.

How about you? Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet?

Q: Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).
Cleopatra VII: Daughter of the Nile, Egypt, 57 B.C. (The Royal Diaries)
A: The book that most influenced my life would have to be The Royal Diaries Series. I loved reading about these amazing girls in different historical time periods. I would imagine myself in their world and these books were one of the first things that made me interested in cultures that lead to my career. During High School and College, I only read textbooks or non-fiction books. Then in my last years of college I stumbled upon the Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I could not put that book down. I devoured the series and was left wanting more. I thank Stephanie Meyer and those that recommended the book because it rekindled my love of reading fiction and that introduced me to the wonderful world of book blogging. :)

What was the most influential book in your life?

Q. What do I do when I are not reading?

A: When I am not reading I am planning a fast approaching wedding. September 2nd is just around the corner and I am trying to get everything ready. I am really looking forward to having everything ready, not only because I will live happily ever after but also because I will have more time to read.

Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

The Magicians

A: I am not sure of the worst book I have read but The Magicians by Lev Grossman is certainly in the list of the not so  great books. I read this book because it was supposed to be a grownup Harry Potter and it was not. I just could not get into this book.
