After getting married I have had a hard time finding time to read. Whether it be doing house chores or just wanting to spend time with the husband, I just can't find the time to sit down and read.
To make matters worst keeping a blog requires time. Although it does take up reading time to review and write posts, it also helps as motivation because I need to read in order to review. When I am tired it pushes me to pick up a book and read because I love informing my readers about new books. So, I am not complaining about my blog because I love being able to share my thoughts on books but it does take time and thus cuts into my reading time.
Last night I was wondering about how I could find more time to read. I usually do my reading in the morning as I am having my morning coffee or at night right before bed.
Here is my question for you beautiful readers.
How do you find time to read with your busy schedule?

I do my best to always have a book with me, whether it be a physical book or my Nook. My husband is in graduate school, so I have a lot more time to read since he is preoccupied. Other than that, I read in waiting rooms, on buses, at cafes, while waiting for classes to begin, in bed before going to sleep, and sometimes even while taking a bath. When I do have the chance to read, I always do my best to finish whatever chapter I'm on. It makes me feel better when I don't have to stop in the middle of a scene, plus it helps me feel accomplished so that I'll keep going once I pick the book up again. I hope that helps. Good luck finding your reading time. :-)

I don't have a lot of time to read either. I try to set aside an hour before bed and 2-3 hours on Saturdays or Sundays during football. That way the Hubby and I are doing things we love. I can read and sit in the room with a TV. Some people are bothered by the sound but I'm not. I also take long baths and read in the tub after a tough day.
ReplyDeleteI am victorious I have found the comments! So yes - I do have way less reading time now that I'm married - however, since the man is a gaming addict and I'm a reading addict we've turned that into a sort of together/alone time. Very strange - but he gets to play and I sit there and read. I also read on all my breaks and lunches at work. I need to take every free minute I can since we plan to have a baby next year I know my reading time will soon become a rare and precious commodity!
